your friend's having a long day.
send a coffee they love.

spot is the only app that lets you send a friend a coffee from a local cafe, inside iMessage. you pick the drink and save a card. they tap the text and order it for pickup when they’re ready, and that’s when you’re charged. spot is on a mission to make small gifting more frequent, natural, and easy. now that ai is taking over, human connection matters most. who knows? if we get as big as Uber Eats, you can brag you got on it first. help us make that happen.

you pick a drink and a cafe, save a card, and it sends as a text. nothing’s charged yet. they tap it and order it for pickup when they’re ready. we place the order with the cafe and your card is charged then. they pick it up at the counter. if it costs more than you were shown, we ask you first. some cafes send an apple wallet gift card instead, which you pay for when you send it.

yes. it’s a real pickup order at the cafe you chose, waiting at the counter under their name. at cafes that send an apple wallet gift card instead, they get a real pass for that cafe and show it at the counter.

no. the whole thing happens from the text, from opening the gift to ordering it for pickup.

for pickup, the cafe’s price for the drink, tax and any cafe fees, charged when they order — spot adds no fee. at cafes that send an apple wallet gift card, it’s the drink’s price, sales tax and a small service fee, paid when you send, and you see the all-in total before you pay.

for pickup, you’re only charged when the cafe order is placed, so if it never is, there’s nothing to refund. an apple wallet gift card is final once sent.
